Autoblow has evolved a lot. It was introduced in 2008 by John McGill, and the original website described it as “the male sex toy of the future“.

Autoblow AI+ is the successor to Autoblow AI from 2018, a masturbator the size of a small wine can with rounded edges. You insert your penis into the sleeve and a ring powered by a small motor moves up and down along the penis in various speeds and movement patterns that you can change in an app. Like its predecessor, the Autoblow AI+ lacks artificial intelligence, but this model is at least connected to the internet and has a downloadable oral sex library, plus voice command.

We tested its last variant in 2018, and now we received the latest model from McGill.

Testing Autoblow

The model I received has a clear plastic case, so you can see everything through: the Penis Gripper ring around a silicone sleeve that ends with a human silicone mouth. The product sent to customers will have a white plastic case, so the inside will not be visible.

After taking the toy out of the box, I tried to connect it to the Internet. Unlike other internet-connected sex toys like the Lovense or We-Vibe, the Autoblow AI+ does not have a downloadable app to control the device. It’s a deliberate choice on McGill’s part, because he didn’t want Google and the Apple Store to kick him off their platforms that strictly censor terms related to sexuality. So Autoblow AI+ uses a web app and it took me five minutes to install it properly. I plugged the toy in, turned it on, and held down the pause button until my phone detected a specific network in my WiFi settings, one generated by Autoblow. I had to connect to it, then to my home network, copy and save some characters that are the device password, then exit setup video.

It’s not hard, but you have to have a little patience. And since all the men in my life immediately throw away the instructions whenever they buy a new gadget, I doubt too many will keep them. On the other hand, we can’t underestimate guys who are into sex toys with complex technology.

After I finished setting up the toy, because I still didn’t know if it was safe for real penises, I used a very ripe banana.

As I tried to stuff the banana into the silicone mouth, I realized I needed lube. With lube, it went in like butter with very little effort.

I used several speeds and placed the ring closer to the base, then closer to the tip. As a ripe banana smell began to waft through the room, I thought maybe the toy had pulverized the banana.
